Any entity willing to get recognised as startup in Uttarakhand shall fulfill all the below mentioned conditions
- The Startup should be an entity incorporated as
- A private limited company (as per the Companies Act 2013) OR
- Registered as a partnership firm (under the Partnership Act, 1932 OR
- A limited liability partnership (under the Limited Liability Partnership Act, 2008) AND
- The startup should have been incorporated in Uttarakhand or should operate from Uttarakhand and employs at least 70 percent of its workforce from Uttarakhand AND
- An entity shall be considered as a startup up to 10 years from the date of its incorporation AND
- Turnover should be less than INR 100 Crores in any of the previous financial years AND
- Such an entity should not be an extension of existing family business; or formed by splitting up or reconstruction of a business already in existence AND
- The Startup should be working towards innovation / improvement of existing products, services and processes and should have the potential to generate employment / create wealth. An entity formed by splitting up or reconstruction of an existing business shall not be considered a Startup
In case, any entity which has been recognised as startup by Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), the startup shall fulfill the below condition to get recognistion under Startup Uttarakhand
The startup should have been incorporated in Uttarakhand and should operate from Uttarakhand or employs at least 50 percent of its total qualified workforce from Uttarakhand, which shall not include contract employees
